Some time ago I began to immerse myself in the world of TJ Klune books and I have to say that, of the books I read by the author, this is my favorite.
"Under the whispering door" is a beautiful book that talks about life and death. It is a paranormal adventure full of love and tenderness, but it also talks about pain and the importance of letting go.
The main characters are two polar opposites. Wallance is rigid, has a difficult personality and a asshole, while Hugo is someone calm, kind, who loves his work, but has a very heavy bourden on his shoulders. Although at first they have problems living together, they will realize that they are not as different as they think.
The supporting characters are a lot of fun with beautiful backstories that you can get attached to right away. I really liked the variety of personalities, although if you have read the author's books, you are probably familiar with his style.
Something I want to highlight is the world that was built around death, it is wonderful how all the fantastic elements intermingle with the real world and how they support the development of Wallance. Also, the way the book is written allows you to connect with it very easily.
If you've read "The house in the cerulean sea" and "Wolfsong" my opinion is that "Under the whispering door" are somewhere between the two. It's sweet and fun, but there's also action and a tough story behind it.
The book, of course, has some details, especially the first chapters in which he gave me the feeling that he could not find the tone, but I loved it. 4.5 / 5.

Hace tiempo comencé a sumergirme en el mundo de libros de TJ Klune y tengo que decir que, de los libros que leí del autor, este es mi favorito. 
“Under the whispering door” es un libro precioso que habla sobre la vida y la muerte. Es una aventura paranormal plagada de amor y ternura, pero también habla sobre el dolor y la importancia de dejarlo ir. 
Los personajes principales son dos polos opuestos. Wallance es rígido, tiene una personalidad difícil de tratar que piensa que el fin justifica los medios, mientras que Hugo es alguien tranquilo, amable, que ama su trabajo, pero que tiene una carga muy pesada sobre sus hombros. Aunque al principio tienen problemas para convivir, se darán cuenta que no son tan distintos como piensan. 
Los personajes secundarios son muy divertidos y con historias de fondo preciosas con los que puedes encariñarte enseguida. Me gustó mucho la variedad de personalidades, aunque si has leído libros del autor, probablemente estarás familiarizado con su estilo. 
Algo que quiero resaltar es el mundo que se construyó alrededor de la muerte, es maravillosa la forma en que todos los elementos fantásticos se entremezclan con el mundo real y cómo apoyan el desarrollo de Wallance. Además, la forma en que está escrito el libro te permite conectar muy fácilmente con él. 
Si has leído “The house in the cerulean sea” y “Wolfsong” mi opinión es que “Under the whispering door” se encuentran en un punto medio entre ambos. Es dulce y divertido, pero también hay acción y una historia dura detrás. 
El libro, por supuestos, tiene algunos detalles, sobre todo los primeros capítulos en los que me dio la sensación de que no encontraba el tono, pero me encantó. 4.5/5.
